Leadership Succession Committee
The role of the Leadership Succession Committee is to develop members in organizational leadership roles across the span of their careers, mentor members to assume organizational board and officer positions at all levels of the organization.
The Leadership Succession Committee consists of 3 elected members: The chairperson is the member who receives the highest number of votes from the membership or a second year member appointed by the President. Members of the Leadership Succession Committee may not seek office during the year(s) that they serve on the Leadership Succession Committee.

Governance Committee
The role of the Governance Committee is to oversee bylaws compliance, make recommendations for bylaws changes and oversee member and chapter-at-large eligibility issues. The Governance Committee works to increase involvement of the chapter members in the activities of the chapter. This will include coordinating the work of the agency liaisons and leadership interns and mentorship of new members.
The Governance Committee consists of at least three elected members and the elected counselors. The committee is chaired by the faculty counselors.

Program Committee
The role of the Program Committee is to plan the programs for the Delta Upsilon Chapter at – Large membership and other nursing professionals. Programs are designed to increase the intellectual component of nursing, enhance the image of nursing and advance the development of nursing leadership. The Program Committee also recommends criteria for allocation of funds earmarked to support scholarship and outstanding professional achievement. In addition, the committee reviews applications and evaluates eligible candidates.
Membership consists of both nurse community leaders and student members in addition to the Vice President. The committee is chaired by the Vice President.

Awards Sub-Committee
The role of the Awards Committee is to review and revise the criteria for the awards and scholarships. In September, the committee sends an announcement regarding the criteria for the award and scholarship and deadline. The committee also reviews applications in the fall, and selects the award recipients. Lastly, the committee must notify the recipients and present them at the Induction Ceremony.

Heritage Committee
The role of the Heritage Committee is to secure and maintain archival records for the chapter. This includes pertinent official, financial and committee reports and records, as well as memorabilia having historical values.
The Heritage Committee is composed of no less than three chapter members including the Secretary of the Chapter-at-Large. The Chairperson shall be appointed by the Board of Directors.

Research Committee
The role of the Research Committee is to serve as the scientific review committee for the Chapter. The committee shall review proposals for all Chapter Research Grants as well as review the abstracts for the Chapter’s Annual Research Day.
The Research Committee is appointed by the Board of Directors and consists of no fewer than three members, including the Chair and at least one member from Rhode Island College and one member from The University of Rhode Island.
