Each Colleagues In Caring site brought together its region's stakeholders in health care and nursing practice to create and sustain a workforce development system within its region.  These collaboratives include:  1. all levels of nursing schools;  2. all categories of nursing care employers (nursing homes, home health agencies, health departments, physician groups, and hospitals);  3. appropriate professional associations, accrediting agencies, and state and regional education departments;  4. policy bodies relevant to nursing workforce development; and 5. consumers, payers, and businesses.
